Training and Background

Comprehensive surgical training.

Dr. Barker earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed combined training in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger, Jr. (Cook County) Hospital in Chicago, training under respected reconstructive and cosmetic surgeons.

He then pursued additional aesthetic fellowship training with nationally recognized surgeons Dr. Rocco Piazza and Dr. Marcello Antunes at the Piazza Center for Plastic Surgery in Austin, Texas. Dr. Barker has authored journal articles and book chapters and has presented at national conferences.

Philosophy

Care that starts with listening.

Dr. Barker believes strong outcomes start with listening. He takes time to understand each patient's goals, anatomy, and lifestyle before recommending a plan, and he favors conservative, natural-looking results over one-size-fits-all solutions.

Every recommendation is confirmed during a private, in-person consultation. Individual results vary from patient to patient.
