Filler selection is important for the hand as it is a large area and the right amount of volume (usually between 1-3 syringes per hand) is needed to make a difference. Typically, Restylane Lyft and Juvéderm Voluma are go-to products.

What Can I Expect During My Appointment?

Typically, the hands do not require numbing cream as filler placement is quick and relatively painless. If BBL laser is also recommended, this can be done at the same appointment or staggered.

There is no downtime with either procedure and sunscreen needs to be worn consistently following the laser for an entire week. The treatment may take around 30-60 minutes and results will be seen immediately. As hyaluronic acid attracts water, the filler will improve over time and create a more contoured even appearance. Over the next several days the filler may swell and takes approximately 2 weeks to see full results and symmetry.

Filler results can be seen immediately, and laser results will be seen within a couple of days. Hand filler typically lasts 12-18 months. 3-6 laser treatments are recommended to achieve optimal results and maintenance should be scheduled every 3-6 months to ensure long term results.
